Mention the Bahamas and most people think only of Nassau and Paradise Island. But, Exuma is part of the Out Islands that make up the Bahamas with the exception of New Providence Island, where the capital and largest city, Nassau is located.
The Exumas island chain is divided into three major areas: Great Exuma, Little Exuma, and the Exuma Cays. For us, Exuma is a perfect blend of enough to do but none of the hustle and bustle of a cruise ship port or overly touristed area. Plus, getting here is easier than you may think!
The villa is about 5 miles or 12 minutes from the Exuma International Airport (airport code GGT). GGT has direct connections from Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Toronto, and Nassau. The small airport makes it easy for quickly getting in and out. Clearing customs upon arrival in Exuma is a breeze and gets your started vacation quickly!

The mid island location makes it easy to explore Exuma’s most beautiful beaches in both directions, from Exuma Point (30 minutes) to the tip of Little Exuma (40 minutes).
In Georgetown, rent a boat from Minn’s or catch a water taxi to visit the beaches, hiking trails, restaurants and beach bars on Stocking Island. Georgetown also has grocery stores, shopping, liquor stores, bank ATMs, restaurants, and more.
