The outdoor spaces at Clementina’s Cove were designed for comfort and soaking up the natural beauty of the area.
Swimming Pool, Sun Deck and Veranda
Step outside the great room onto the veranda and you are up close and personal with the star of the show – the legendary and mesmerizing waters of Exuma. The 1200 square foot covered porch wraps around three sides of the villa offering ample areas to cool in the shade, take in golden hour sunsets and bold sunrises, or the quick sprinkle of a passing shower which may produce a rainbow before your very eyes. Aside from the waves of the ocean, occasionally you may hear the sound of local peacocks strutting through the nearby vegetation.
Pools with incredible backdrops are amazing to experience in person. At roughly 18 feet wide and 14 feet across, the heated saltwater pool at Clementina’s Cove gives you plenty of room to hang out. Have a seat on the pool bench that faces Hoopers Bay and take in the views that seem to go on forever.
Our goal was to produce 100% of the energy needed for the entire house including the pool equipment through solar. The ground mount solar system takes advantage of the over 320 days of Bahamian sunshine of 7 to 9 hours per day to source the pool heater and warm the pool up in the cooler months when the temperatures are around the upper 70’s to low 80’s.
The veranda and pool deck are the places to hang out, socialize or enjoy quiet time tucked away on the sunset or sunrise sides. Adirondack chairs, comfortable lounge chairs to lay out on and outdoor conversation seating areas are plentiful so you can nap, enjoy a good book, or relax and soak up the ambience. Tropical plants and landscaping integrate seamlessly with the pool and deck and ensures you're never out of sight of those swaying palm trees and turquoise ocean you've been dreaming about.
Dining Al Fresco
Who can resist dining outside with family and friends with the Exuma blues in the background? An outdoor gas grill, bar counter adjacent to the 6’ slider kitchen windows, and ample seating for six are perfect for outdoor cooking, dining and entertaining. Whether it's a quiet morning coffee, breakfast and planning out your activities for the day, or dinner and sharing memories, the outdoor dining area is a perfect setting to enjoy your time together.
Gardens & Games
The 1.2 acre property features extensive local vegetation and trees, historic stone walls, and landscaped areas with terraces and native plants including a bevy of fruit trees - papaya, mango, coconut, cherry, and lime to name a few! Over time, we expect the trees will yield mature fruit for our guests to enjoy!
A private, regulation size pickleball court is on the property allowing our guests to conveniently enjoy the sport during their stay. Whether an expert player or a beginner, pickleball is a fun way to enjoy the outdoors while soaking up the tropical breeze and water views. The net system, paddles and balls are provided.
Outdoor Shower
The sunset side of the deck leads to a private outdoor shower with hot and cold water. The enclosure was designed with privacy in mind in order to take a shower under the sky, but also makes it convenient for washing off the sand and salt water after spending time on the beach or enjoying a match on the pickleball court.
